Peacefully Flying

Jordan Love
September 8, 1996 - October 31, 2010

Jordan passed this morning just before 11am EST. It was beautiful, peaceful, and full of love. We sent her off with visions of gratitude, courage, love, adventures and flying.

  3. My basenji, Baxter, passed on on September 30th of last year. He was my baby and my partner for my entire twenties. We were in each others lives for 11 years and two months, and I did a lot of growing with him. Losing him was shocking (he was gone only one week after realizing his upset tummy was something way more serious), so incredibly heart breaking, but I also knew that, somehow, this was the right time.

Jordan was very lucky to have loving parents, and my heart is with you, because though you sent him off with incredible grace...I know the heartbreak is no less painful. Not everyone understands the true and deep love humans can have with dogs other animals.

I, for one, feel that everything happens for a reason. I believe that Baxter's and my time together had come to a destined end, and very soon after that, I met the woman that is now my fiance.

Thank you for sharing this loving blog.

  14. I am so sorry to hear that Jordan has passed to the other side. A dog could never have been more loved or cared for. I hope that you still feel her presence near and the love that she has for you, always. I'm sure your family, both blood and other are waiting for her with open arms and are showing her all of the best places to run and swim.
Big love and hugs to you. X
